Welcome Back!

We started dancing again on Wednesday 8th September 2021 in

Church House, South Street, Bridport DT6 3NN

In case you are not sure whether you do or do not have Covid-19;

We have had some success with obtaining Rapid Lateral Flow coronavirus (COVID-19) tests from

Hand sanitizer will be supplied and we will keep the hall as well ventilated as possible.

Programmes will be shorter than formerly with more intervals while we all get accustomed to dancing again.

For newcomers - the first session is free. Thereafter the charge is £2.00 per week.

Please bring your own mug.

We normally meet every Wednesday from early September to late May at Church House, South Street, Bridport, except for the first Wednesday of each month when we are at Salway Ash village hall.

We start dancing at 7:30 p.m. Dancers are requested to arrive at 7:15 in time to get suitably shod and 'ready for off' at half-past.

Established members are always happy to help newer dancers with easier dances until the tea/coffee break.

After 9:00 p.m. the programme includes new or more challenging dances with our more experienced dancers in mind.

9:45 we finish dancing , clear up and go home!

When we meet at Salway Ash each month, the evening is a more social occasion with dances chosen from those danced during the preceding month - and there are cakes!

We have a Christmas party in December, and an "end of season" party at the end of May / beginning of June.

AND - In December every year we dance all Wednesdays in Salway Ash (Christmas shopping in Bridport - no parking!)

In the summer we have social evenings on the last Wednesdays of June, July and August with popular guest callers - We welcome guest dancers from other local clubs.

Other Scottish country dancing groups in the area run balls and social dances during the year which many of our dancers support.

Occasionally we have a special dance with live music.

Our club is managed by a committee of seven, elected by club members at the AGM in April/May each year.

The teaching of dancing and the dance programmes are the responsibility of a sub-committee.

We have a Constitution and Rules which are available on request.
