Bridport Scottish Dancers
End of Term Party May 2023
This May saw almost 20 dancers at Salwayash Village Hall to celebrate the end of a full year of dancing. There was a mixed set of dances chosen by the members, though we were unable to dance them all because of time. We ended the evening with a ‘bring and share supper’ when we could enjoy a little chit chat and some delicious food.
We look forward to the new term in September and hope that numbers increase with a few people coming along to see who we are, what we do and have an enjoyable evening of dancing. I assure we are not a scarey group!
A Forever Butterfly was purchased on behalf of the Bridport Scottish Dancers to remember all of our ‘Departed Friends’ in aid of Julia’s House, a charity which we regularly support. The butterflies were sold to celebrate 20 years of a Lifeline of Care. They created a ‘Flutter of Butterflies’ in a display at Athelhampton House and we have received a single butterfly as a permanent reminder.
