Celia and Tony Diamond Wedding Social August 20th 2025

Bridport SCD enjoyed celebrating Tony and Celia Meadley’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary on Wednesday 20th August – they have been dancing with Bridport as founder members for all its 30 years. Some 50 people, including members from Chard, St Michael’s (West Camel), Taunton, Weymouth and Charminster clubs; and previous members who now live in Bristol and Portugal, came along. With Andrew White calling, we all had a very jolly evening. Over the years, Tony and Celia have both enjoyed many dances at other clubs, weekends at Bude and great music from different bands. Congratulations!!

Forever Butterfly
April 2023
A Forever Butterfly was purchased on behalf of the Bridport Scottish Dancers to remember all of our ‘Departed Friends’ in aid of Julia’s House, a charity which we regularly support. The butterflies were sold to celebrate 20 years of a Lifeline of Care. They created a ‘Flutter of Butterflies’ in a display at Athelhampton House and we have received a single butterfly as a permanent reminder.
